Jamia Masjid Chicago values transparency, trust, and responsible stewardship of all donations. This policy explains the nature of charitable contributions and our refund practices in accordance with Islamic principles and U.S. nonprofit regulations.1. Nature of Donations
All donations made to Jamia Masjid Chicago are considered voluntary charitable contributions and are given for religious and charitable purposes, including but not limited to:
- Masjid construction and maintenance
- Islamic education and programs
- Community services and outreach
As donations are typically used immediately to support ongoing operations and programs, all donations are non-refundable, except as outlined below or where required by law.
2. Refunds Due to Errors
If a donor believes a mistake has occurred, such as:
- An incorrect donation amount
- A duplicate transaction
- An unintended recurring donation
The donor must contact us within 30 days of the transaction.
Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and if approved, any refund will be issued to the original payment method only.
